We can start to feel the chill of fall sneaking in the early morning and evening air. August has been a month of preparing for the future. We are creating space for new eucalyptus plants. Our mesa side will be full of beautiful blue trees. Eucalyptus is a member of the myrtle family and comes with a beautiful & distinct aroma. The oil of Eucalyptus has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and pain relieving properties. We are so happy to be growing this crop and excited for its future here.
This month brought out a lot of cooking creativity. We shared our favorite farm salad dressing with you, look for it under “What’s Growing” tab and recipes! This dressing helps bring out the flavors of vegetables and can encourage addition of plants to your plate! We look forward to September visitors and events, both on and off the farm!
Enjoy a few of our favorite moments from the farm.
The beauty of Bear Valley.
“The dog days of summer ” is obvious on the farm. Here are the pups staying cool in a dirt hole.
Rock paintings from our Full Moon Circle.
Our August Full Moon Circle was peaceful and full of connection. Thanks all.
We hope everyone’s September is off to a wonderful start!
